Karsten: We Want To Welcome Back Fans With 3 Points

Tonight Selangor FC will host Kedah Darul Aman FC (KDAFC) at the MBPJ Stadium, Kelana Jaya at 9 pm for the 6th match of the Super League 2021.

This match will be the first time for the Red Giants fans to come back to the stadium to support the team. SFC Head coach, Karsten Neitzel is delighted with this news and wants his boys to give the best performance for the fans.

"All Malaysian football fans will be happy because they will finally be allowed to enter the stadium again. This is the true meaning of football, the cheers from the fans during the match," said the 53 years old gaffer.

“After so long without fans in the stadium, we will do our best to ensure they come to watch an exciting game and come back with three points in hand,” he added.

Karsten and the team have also made necessary preparations to give their best to the fans who will be watching tonight’s match live at the stadium.

"We conducted a rehabilitation session immediately after the match against UiTM last week to make sure the players are fit to play tonight."

"We (the coaching staff) have analyzed the opponents' game and discussed some things with the players. There are good things we can keep from previous games and there are also things we must improve quickly. The team is doing our best," said Karsten.

As for the player’s availability, four Red Giants players will be absent for this match such as Nik Sharif Haseefy (ankle injury), Halim Saari (ACL), Wan Zack Haikal (right knee injury), and R. Dinesh.

The Red Giants at the 7th spot in the 2021 Super League chart with 8 points accumulated as a result of two wins, two draws, and two defeats, while KDA FC is the league first runner up with 13 points, just 1 point short behind the league leaders.

With the entry of supporters to the stadium tonight, Selangor FC will ensure that the fans will follow the SOPs set by the Malaysia Football League (MFL). SFC called on all supporters who came down to the stadium tonight to be able to provide the necessary cooperation to ensure the prevention of the COVID-19.

On the other hand, SFC's strategic partner, Sugarbomb will provide 2000 bottles of hand sanitizer for Red Giants fans who came to the stadium tonight as a measure to curb the COVID-19 outbreak.

Keep on fighting, Red Giants!
